This title sums up very neatly what this book is all about – submodalities and what you can achieve with them. It is very much an experiential book, constructed around exercises designed for two or three participants. Many patterns are embellished or supercharged by the skilful use of subtle changes to submodalities and some patterns are based almost entirely on such changes. A valuable book for those with some prior knowledge of NLP.

This is the book for those who wish to understand the process of change or who wants to have control over their own unique change mechanisms. Whilst it has been placed in the General NLP category there is some very powerful and interesting content in it which relates to the business world. Much of the content is derived from a workshop run by Robert dedicated to producing a better understanding of the change process. You don’t need to be an expert in NLP to understand this book.

In this book Robert Dilts pulls together a number of articles on the application of NLP to such fields as personal and family therapy, business (including selling) and education among many more.

If you want a straightforward, practical book to help you make a start with NLP, this one fits the bill. All the most useful concepts and activities from the world of NLP are here, potted into neat bite-sized pieces. And, at last, Clean Language takes its rightful place among them – as far as we know, this is the first mainstream NLP title to include it as a specific topic. Pragmatic and practical, Lynne Cooper focuses on the real and the realistic. In simple step-by-step instructions, she suggests ways for the reader to change themselves, which in turn may influence others. Her style of NLP is low on esoteric mystery, and steers clear of the cleverest linguistic tricks, which may feel like ‘dumbing down’ to a few NLPers. But it’s most valuable because of its accessibility, welcoming newcomers to the field and encouraging them to explore further.
